The Generals: Plaza Heneral Santos
“We’re so busy watching out for what’s just ahead of us that we don’t take time to enjoy where we are.” – Bill Watterson
There
is always a place where we feel so free and enjoy the company of your friends,
family and even by yourself. If you are searching for that one place, Plaza Heneral Santos can offer that chill place for you and your companions for free.
Plaza Heneral Santos is one of the best places to spend your morning or free time
with no cost at all. It is opened public in September 2009 after renovations
and improvement work. It is a 4.8 hectare walk with such beautiful lamp posts,
and exquisite landscapes. As long as, they abide by the essential park rules,
which include no littering or vandalizing, people from all walks of life are
welcome to enjoy the park day or night. The park was strategically located near
the City Hall and other different establishments like Church, Hotels, and School.
Whenever
I go the plaza, I always saw students from different schools looking carefree
practicing school projects, chatting, playing, and more. It is like bringing people
together—a perfect place to connect people to others from the comfort of their
own home.
This December
we are commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ. I am delighted to see that the
Local Government Unit put an effort to feel the essence of Christmas through
decorating the plaza and the municipal with lanterns, incandescent lights, and
a huge Christmas tree.
General
Santos Plaza makes the holiday ever more so alive and special.
